While growing up on the island of Maui in Hawai’i, Dr. Robin was drawn to the science and medical field. In college, she shadowed her father, who was a dentist and found the dental field intriguing. Dr. Robin worked as a dental assistant for a few years and that is when she developed a passion for dentistry.

Dr. Robin is adventurous and travelled from Hawai’i to Boston, where she graduated from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2010 with her dental degree. While in school she went on several dental volunteer programs in Mexico to provide dental care to children who don’t have regular access to a dentist. Motivated to continue working with underserved individuals, Dr. Robin worked at the Kyle Health Center on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Recognizing that dental health starts as a child and there is a high need for pediatric dental services, Dr. Robin returned to Hawai’i to pursue a pediatric dental residency through the New York University Lutheran Medical Center.

While not at the office, Dr. Robin enjoys time with her son and rescue dog from the Pine Ridge Reservation. She is a passionate long-distance runner and completed multiple marathons and ultramarathons. Running has taken her all around the world, and her trips are usually planned around beautiful sites and trails. She is a very proud finisher of the HURT 100 race in Hawai’i. Travel and exploring different cultures are priorities, so please share your adventures with her. She would enjoy learning about your travels! 🙂
