Floss Once a Day

Excerpt from "Your Child's Teeth: Helpful Tips for Parents and Caregivers", by the American Dental Association:

Your dentist and hygienist can tell you if your child needs to floss and also demonstrate how to floss. Flossing removes plaque between the teeth where a toothbrush can't reach.

Because flossing is a difficult skill to master, you should floss the child’s teeth until he or she can do it alone. Show the child how to hold the floss and gently clean between teeth. At about age 10 or 11, the child should be able to floss between teeth under your supervision while cleaning his or her teeth, check with your dentist.
